Loved-up couples always want their dream wedding day to run without a hitch - from the venue, the attire and even the music, everything is planned painstakingly to avoid any mishaps.
The food served at your big do is always a talking point and can be make or break for fussy guests. Most people are just happy to sit down and enjoy a meal with family and friends, unless the dinner is an absolute nightmare.
One wedding guest was left horrified by the "depressing" and rather beige vegan meal that was served at their brother's wedding last weekend.
Sharing a photo of the questionable plate on Reddit, the bland-looking meal consisted of approximately 12 mini carrots and a side of quinoa.
Since sharing an image of the meal online, the post has received more than 1,800 interactions.
'My sister tried to wear a wedding dress to my engagement party - I got revenge'The Reddit user captioned the image: "Vegan meal I was served at my brother's wedding last weekend."
While many people assumed that things couldn't go any further downhill, the Redditor admitted that the meal wasn't even the "worst part".
The furious wedding guest claimed: "The worst part about this whole thing was there was NO ALCOHOL."
After sharing the photo, the post was inundated with responses - where over 250 people fled to the comment section to discuss the pitiful meal.
One person wrote: "That's profoundly depressing. I can't believe anyone thought that was an adequate meal and not a punishment ration."
"From the bottom of my heart... I am so sorry," a second said.
A third penned: "Wow SO poor of the caterers wtf."
Meanwhile, a different user wrote: "Lol, I'm not vegan and even I wouldn't serve this s***. Those dry-a**carrots, and what looks like fridge couscous are pathetic."
Sharing their own first-hand experience, someone else claimed: "Went to a wedding a couple of years ago and had the vegan option. Tomato soup, no bread to start. Stacked med veg in tomato soup for main. No dessert.
They added: "Bride was overheard saying 'the veggies can f*** off'. She's a bit of a twat."
