Fortnite is available through Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming service, allowing the game to be played via any PC or Mobile.
Can your PC not run Fortnite? Do you not have the space for it on your Android, or do you have an Apple device where Fortnite isn't available natively at all (for now anyway)? Well thanks to Epic Games teaming up with Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming (formerly known as XCloud) Fortnite is available for everyone. Plus, unlike the Amazon Luna port of Fortnite you don't need to pay anything to enjoy the free-to-play title as Fortnite on XCloud doesn't require an Xbox Live or Xbox Game Pass subscription to play.
Obviously, with Fortnite being a competitive shooter you'll need to take into account that there will be latency inherent to cloud gaming which may result in you taking the L more often. However, considering it's the only way to play on Apple devices currently, it's a solid option.
Getting Fortnite XCloud set up is simple, although it's a little different if you're wanting to play it through Apple, Android, or a PC. Even though XCloud is a part of Xbox Game Pass, you don't need Xbox Game Pass to play Fortnite on XCloud. The steps are as follows:
And that's you, you'll be able to play Fortnite no matter where you are, and absolutely kill your productivity in the process!
