Londoners are about to be treated to another Apple Store with the US technology giant confirming that it's about to open the doors to a new gadget-filled shop.

The location for this latest retail space is at the iconic Battersea Power Station which recently opened after a £9 billion and 10-year restoration project.

Overnight, Apple surprised visitors at the iconic shopping centre with a covered storefront that features bricks and the words “Let's build something".

The US company has confirmed that fans will be able to step inside from June 17 with the space also offering free Today at Apple events which include help with devices and creative sessions.

It's unclear how the store will look but expect the usual glass panels and minimalist appearance that will also offer easy access to try the latest iPhone, MacBook, iPads and the Apple Watch range.

News of this new store comes just a few days before Apple's WWDC developers conference takes place with Apple teasing that this year's event will be its "biggest and most exciting yet".

WWDC is usually where Apple reveals its next operating systems including new features that will be coming to iPhones, iPads and the Mac later this year.

There could also be some surprises including a new MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen and the hotly anticipated unveiling of Apple's VR headset.

“WWDC is one of our favourite times of the year at Apple because it’s an opportunity to connect both online and in person with the talented developers from around the globe who make this community so extraordinary,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. “WWDC23 is going to be our biggest and most exciting yet, and we can’t wait to see many of you online and in person at this very special event!”

All will be revealed on Monday night from 6pm BST so watch this space.
