A paddleboarder has died at a busy beach - marking the fifth tragedy in the UK this weekend.
Emergency services battled to save the 70-year-old man after bringing him ashore at Worthing in West Sussex.
Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering a medical incident in the water.
The RNLI lifeboat and an air ambulance were scrambled to the seafront at Worthing on Sunday evening.

The RNLI lifeboat and an air ambulance were scrambled to the seafront at Worthing on Sunday evening (Eddie Mitchell)A police spokesman said: "Police supported HM Coastguard and the ambulance service at an incident on Worthing beach at around 5.40pm on Sunday, May 28.
“A man in his 70s was treated by the ambulance service after suffering a medical incident in the water.
“He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.”
The death is not believed to be suspicious and the coroner has been informed.

Two men in their 20s died after being pulled from the water off the coast of Devon yesterday, the police have confirmed today.
Devon and Cornwall Police rushed to the scene in Oddicombe, Torbay, following reports of concern for two people in the water.
