John Stamos has confessed that he was "angry" and "upset" following the Olsen twin 's refusal to return to Full House sequel series.
The 59-year-old, who played Uncle Jesse in the original show said nearly a decade ago that he "respected" Mary-Kate and Ashley's decision not to reprise their role as Michelle Tamer in Netflix's Fuller House.
Now, the actor has admitted that was he "angry at first" but ultimately "upset" over the decision.
Speaking on the And That's What You REALLY Missed podcast, he explained that the late Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner, was the glue that kept the cast together after the final episode of Full House aired in 1995.

The twins turned down the comeback (Getty Images)"[Bob Saget] was very instrumental in keeping us all together. The twins moved to New York and I gotta tell you, one of the only good thing to come out of Bob’s, well ... Mary-Kate and Ashley, we didn’t see them much," he said on the podcast.

"I mean, we stayed in touch a little bit but Bob really did. And they were so great. You hear rumors, 'Oh, they hated their childhood or they hated being on the show or whatever.'

The show came to an end in 1995 (Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images)"When I did Fuller House they didn’t wanna come back. And I was angry for a minute," John continued. "And that got out. But they were, like, 'We loved our childhood. We loved being with you. We miss Bob.'
"They came over to my house, they brought a pork chop and sage. I don’t know why, but thank you? It was a frozen pork chop, so that was really nice. So we stayed very close."
John had pitched the revival idea to Mary-Kate (Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images)John previously shared that he had reached out personally to Mary-Kate to explain the idea for the Netflix revival series, but all three Olsen siblings, including the twins' younger sister and Marvel actress Elizabeth, turned down the project.
"They decided not to, which I respect," he added. "[The twins] seemed very into it, they just were afraid of acting, they hadn’t acted, you know, they don’t consider themselves actresses."
