M&S manager shares 'best time' to get reduced-price yellow stickers on food

With surging energy bills and the cost of produce in supermarkets rising, many people may be looking for alternative means to keep costs down. An efficient method to tackle the ever-increasing cost of products, which has proved popular amongst supermarket shoppers is nabbing food featuring reduced-priced yellow stickers.

However, it can be chaos to get your hands on any good savings. And moreover, it's a struggle alone to determine the prime time to go shopping to nab the best bargains.

If you've been wondering when the best time to head down to your local supermarket is, then you're not alone as an avid saver recently took to TikTok seeking advice for the 'best time' to go to Marks & Spencer to get herself a bargain.

Seeking advice, Danielle - who boasts more than 50,000 followers on her TikTok account @charityshoplife - turned to the power of social media in hopes of some insightful answers.

In her clip, which has surpassed 95,000 views to date, Danielle questioned: "Fellow bargain hunters, when is the best time to get those M&S yellow stickers?"

"I see people on [TikTok] getting bargains all the time, but when I go it's like £2 off - and that was the best deal I could find!" She explained.

"I usually go just before closing and there's nothing left."

Taking to the comment section, a manager at Marks & Spencer - who had conveniently stumbled across the video - shared the vital time to venture into stores.

They wrote: "Manager at M&S here. We sticker through the night so at store opening, if there's loads it gets reduced again at 2pm unlikely though, usually sells!"

After questioning whether the items are reduced further, the manager clarified: "That's the final reduction, can't guarantee it’s the same everywhere though but worth a try at that time."

After raking in further comments, people online claimed that discounted offers were dependent on each store.

A different user said: "My mum works in M&S and they do the second reductions between 3-4pm!"

"4pm at my store is when we do second reductions," someone else added.

A third wrote: "For my store we do everything but veg around 4 then veg at 6."

A fourth claimed: "Same at Waitrose, doesn't seem a pattern……trick is to ask the staff, they'll tell you and it might be store specific."
