Mel Giedroyc had viewers demanding she "won Eurovision " with her hilarious scene stealing moment during the Grand Final.

The comedian and presenter, 54, left fans "crying with laughter" as she poked fun at a previous Eurovision contestant.

During host Hannah Waddingham's segment where she was discussing the upcoming acts, the former Great British Bake Off presenter was seen in the background donning a full lederhosen while churning some butter slightly erotically.

Presenter Graham Norton, who was doing his usual commentary, couldn’t help but joke Mel was “literally, milking it”.

He attempted to stifle his laughter, before claiming Mel resembled a former First Lady of the United States - Melania Trump.

Another asked: "What’s the number to vote for Mel Giedroyc?," whilst someone else said: "And tonight’s Eurovision winner is Mel churning milk!"

"Forget the songs, Mel Giedroyc is the winner of Eurovision," wrote a fan.

A fifth gushed: "I'd like to place all 20 votes on Mel Giedroyc milk churn please," whilst another praised: "Mel Giedroyc is tonight’s winner!!"

The Eurovision Song Contest has been held in Liverpool this year, despite Ukraine winning the competition in 2022.

Due to the Russian invasion, it wasn't possible for Ukraine to host and so the BBC agreed to host the competition in the UK.

Beating a shortlist of other UK cities, including Manchester, Glasgow and Sheffield, the song contest has been taking place at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena, located in the historic Royal Albert Dock.

Speaking about why the city had been chosen, BBC’s Director General, Tim Davie, said: "Congratulations to Liverpool. They will be an amazing host for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. Liverpool is such an exciting, warm and vibrant city.

"It's the undisputed capital of pop music and is celebrating the 65th anniversary of its twinning with the Ukrainian city of Odesa.

During the competition, the UK has been represented by London based singer songwriter Mae Muller who hopes to win with her hit I Wrote A Song.

The final saw 26 countries battle it out in the hopes of winning.

However BBC viewers fumed just minutes into the show, with Graham Norton irking a few people tuned in ready to get into the spirit of Eurovision.

But they soon perked up, as the best of Europe took to the stage to belt out some bangers - with some viewers suspected a X Factor legend had snuck their way in!
