Jamie Carragher is worried Leicester City might already be relegated by the time they face West Ham on the final day of the Premier League season.

The Foxes were beaten 5-3 at Fulham on Monday, and have just one victory from their last 13 league games. Their next two games are against top four challengers Liverpool and Newcastle, before West Ham visit the King Power Stadium on May 28.

Leicester and rivals Leeds both sat outside the bottom three going into the last round of fixtures. Both lost, though, meaning victories for Everton and Nottingham Forest changed the relegation picture.

"Watching Leicester today, that was not a performance of a team fighting for their lives," Carragher said on Monday Night Football. "I really fear for them.

"They have Liverpool next and that is a tough game, then Newcastle away and West Ham at home. It might be over by the time they get to West Ham at home.

"I am not sure how they get out of that. I think Everton have the best fixtures left given where they are, I don’t really see them going down now and for Leicester I don’t really see how they get out of it."

Carragher suggested just one more win might be enough for both Everton and Forest. They are on 32 and 33 points respectively, with Leicester and Leeds on 30 and bottom side Southampton all but down on 24 after losing at the City Ground.

"For Leicester and Leeds they might have to [avoid defeat next time out]," he said. "I almost feel Leeds might have to win [against Newcastle]."

The Foxes picked up a few results since the arrival of Dean Smith as interim manager, beating Wolves and drawing with rivals Leeds and Everton. Against Fulham, though, they were 3-0 down at half-time and 5-1 adrift with 20 minute remaining before bringing some respectability to the scoreline late on.

"It is tough," Leicester midfielder James Maddison told Match of the Day after the setback. "No easy game in the Premier League - it is a cliche but so true. We will keep fighting. We will keep trying to put it right."
