Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston has swiftly deleted a sweary anti-royal social media post after taking aim at King Charles and family.
After millions tuned in to the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday, and Brits turned out in their droves to street parties up and down the country on Sunday, it seems not everyone has been feeling the sense of national pride.
The former BBC star, 59, took to his Instagram to give his take on the Coronation weekend.
Christopher, who was the star of Doctor Who as the series’ ninth doctor, posted an image showing pieces of paper spelling out the words: “F**k off”.
Alongside the snap, he wrote in the caption: “Thank god I kept that bunting from the jubilee last year.”

The actor has previously voiced his anti-monarchy views and has collected quite the following with his outspoken posts.
Fans took to the comments to confess they had been “waiting” to see the actor’s take on the weekend’s events.
One said they “knew the Eccleston post would be good” while another added: “I knew you were my favourite actor for a reason”.
His post comes after it was revealed that Met Police bosses will face a tough grilling over their "worrying" handling of anti-monarchy protesters on Saturday.
