Chloe Sims has revealed why her daughter Madison won't be appearing in her new reality show.
Chloe, 41, took the plunge and moved from Essex to Los Angeles after quitting The Only Way Is Essex in July last year after 11 years on the ITVBe show.
Mum Chloe has been joined by her daughter Madison, 18, in previous episodes of TOWIE, with Madison becoming a favourite amongst fans.
The teen has moved to Los Angeles with her mum, but will be going back and fourth to England.
Despite Madison joining Chloe in the US, she will not feature in Chloe and her family's brand new reality show, House of Sims.
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingIn an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Chloe explained: "Madison isn't in series one. Although the platform of OFTV is a safe platform – there's not anything explicit on the whole platform – you have to be 18 to be on that platform as a creator."
In the interview, which took place in April, Chloe said: "Madison is about to turn 18 this month, so yes she hopefully will feature in the new series but in the first one she isn't in it or spoken about – that's just a rule. I hope she will be but that's something Madison has got to decide."
Chloe also said she had felt "protective" over her teenage daughter and admitted she felt "talked into" showing her daughter on TOWIE in her younger years.
She said: "I've never been one of them mums to expose her, she filmed very rarely in The Only Way Is Essex. When I first joined I was inexperienced and young myself and I was very protective over Madison and although I did kind of... I think I got talked into it a bit to let her be seen, I then made the decision to take her away from the camera again.
"And then towards the end when she was older and she wanted to be a part of it I let her – I think it was the last series and the Christmas special she had a bit more involvement in it. The problem with – I feel like my personal opinion on it is putting children on TV without them really understanding what you're doing and, for her, it's a cruel world out there and I feel extremely protective of my daughter."
TOWIE has been contacted by the Mirror for comment.
However, now Chloe's daughter has turned 18, the reality star will give her the option to appear on House of Sims if she wants to.
Chloe said: "If she wants to be involved in it, she can and if she doesn't, she doesn't that's something that I will discuss with her moving forward and let her decide."
The reality star is now starring alongside her siblings Charlie, Frankie and Demi, on House of Sims. Meanwhile, Chloe and Charlie worked with production on the edit as well as appearing in front of the camera.
Despite the family's experience in reality TV, Chloe revealed she found filming for the new programme very different.
Richard 'shuts up' GMB guest who says Hancock 'deserved' being called 'd***head'She explained: "Starting this show, although I had that experience of being in front of cameras, and I still had to start again, if you like, it was a completely fresh start because it was a different concept, a different way of filming.
"We did house reality which means having cameras in house all day through to the night. We wasn't given scenes, if you like, and this was our decision – myself and Charlie – we wanted the cameras to be fly on the wall."
