Rylan Clark had a traumatic experience trying to reach Liverpool where he is due to present coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest next week - but had fans in stitches with his amusing updates.

The 34-year-old former X Factor contestant is one of a host of presenters who will be providing insight and commentary during a series of qualifying rounds ahead of next Saturday’s grand final.

Rylan lives in Essex in south east England and had to make his way up north on Friday to reach the city of Liverpool where the 2023 contest is being held - and representing last years’ winners, Ukraine.

But the star’s trip was far from easy as he faced disruption and challenges as he took a train to the iconic city.

While the station is closed on Sunday due to engineering works - with hours of delays predicted as replacement bus services as tolled out instead.
