Acer has added to its eco-conscious range of technology with its brand new Chromebook Vero 514 which aims to save you stress with its unique design and features, while also saving the environment and your bank balance at the same time.

With every purchase of the new Chromebook, Acer UK will plant 100 trees and offer an exclusive free accessory pack worth £89.99 until the end of June.

Delivering first-rate performance, the Acer Chromebook Vero 514 tackles collaboration, productivity and entertainment needs, keeping its quality high despite its ulterior mission of embracing the spirit of sustainability.

Its thoughtful design takes the entire product lifespan into consideration and uses recycled materials in most areas - meaning you can reduce your ecological footprint without having to do anything.

Strong performance

Thanks to ChromeOS, the Acer Chromebook Vero 514 comes with the best of Google built-in, plus a world of apps from Google Play. Built-in virus protection automatically defends your device from malware so you don’t have to worry about installing third-party antivirus software; it updates automatically in the background so you get the latest software without being interrupted⁺; and it boots up in seconds, so it’s ready when you are.

The Vero 514 has been specially designed for an extended product lifespan to minimise environmental impact, with the device being easy to upgrade, repair, disassemble and recycle. For example, it's easy to access the memory and storage through the use of standard screws, and the unique exterior is 99% recyclable.

The Vero line-up was formed under the Earthion initiative - Acer’s mission to develop innovative and integrated solutions to help tackle environmental issues for a more sustainable future, including a commitment to source 100% renewable energy by 2035, more eco-friendly product designs - such as its recycled packaging which can be used as laptop stand - and the reduction of Acer’s supply chain carbon footprint.

The brand is tackling the issue of e-waste, which is at an all-time high in the UK. Partnering up with Computers4Charity, customers can donate old, used, working or broken laptops or devices to be collected, safely>Save money and the environment with Acer’s new Chromebook and useful free gift
