Tom Brady shocked the NFL world last month when he announced his retirement from the sport after 23 magnificent seasons.

After spending more than half of his life as a starting quarterback in the league, Brady will walk away from the sport after choosing not to test free agency following three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady won one Super Bowl with the Bucs, as well as six championships in an incredible 20-year period with the New England Patriots -where some thought he might resign for a final season in 2023 before opting to hang it up. Throughout his career, Brady had quite literally always won. He only suffered one losing season in his entire career - and made the Super Bowl 10 times.

That is just one of many Super Bowl records that Brady holds. His first Super Bowl came in his first full year as a starter, where he took over from an injured Drew Bledsoe and lead the team to an 11-3 record where they defeated 'The Greatest Show on Turd' St Louis Rams in a shock upset with the Patriots a huge underdog (Rams were a 14-point favourite).

His second came two years later with a win over the Carolina Panthers, and his third coming the following season when they beat the Philadelphia Eagles - winning in back-to-back seasons.

The Patriots and Brady then went 10 years without a Super Bowl, before a dramatic comeback win over the Seattle Seahawks after Russell Wilson threw an interception on the one-yard line with seconds to go, before they went on to secure an even greater comeback two years later - beating the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 while being down 28-3 in the third quarter.

His final championship with the Patriots came in 2019 in a win over the Los Angeles Rams in a defensive shootout, before winning his final ring two years later with the Buccaneers over the Kansas City Chiefs - who will play in Sunday's clash as Patrick Mahomes chases Brady's accomplishments.

In doing all that, Brady holds just the 17 Super Bowl records, and you can find the full list below.
