The show's premiere launched this evening, with one former campmate already predicting the winner

Scarlett Moffatt has tipped Carol Vorderman to be crowned the first I'm A Celebrity legend.

In the South Africa all stars series no one will get to be king or queen and instead, there is the next title.

Speaking on the I'm A Celebrity...South Africa - The Podcast, Scarlett backed Carol and said: “My camp mam. She’s a pilot, not scared of heights, she’s not afraid to get stuck into a camel’s penis… she’s on duty for cooking and food is life in there.”

Scarlett, who won the show in 2016, also said she would like the chance to go to the South African version of the show. She said: “I would go in the Bush! The camp looks posh.”

Scarlett and former campmate Seann Walsh are set to present the show's official podcast, in which they will discuss the happenings from the camp and interview the campmates.

The podcast will go live every weeknight after each episode, which was filmed months ago, and be available on Global Player, various apps and the I'm A Celebrity YouTube channel.

The series, which started this evening, features a line-up of Carol, Paul Burrell, Helen Flanagan, Shaun Ryder, Janice Dickinson, Amir Khan, Phil Tuffnell, Fatima Whitbread and Jordan Banjo.

Carol Vorderman has taken part in her first challenge of the show, alongside Jordan and Amir, who were all tasked with walking off a platform in a bid to win food for camp during the series premiere, with Carol opting to go first.

While Scarlett has placed Carol as the show's most likely winner, former England cricketer Phil Tuffnell is the bookies' favourite to win the show.

Jessica O'Reilly of betting firm Ladbrokes said: "Tuffers was a firm fan favourite back in the day which easily makes him the clear front-runner for glory in South Africa."

She added: "However, with the likes of Joe Swash and Georgia Toffolo rumoured to be joining the camp his position at the top of the I'm A Celebrity betting may not last for too long."

Phil is 4/1 to win the series while next in line is Happy Monday's star, Shaun Ryder with odds of 8/1, and Carol Vorderman at 10/1.
