F Murray Abraham has released a statement to say he is sorry for his actions after he was dismissed from his role on Mythic Quest.

It was said the White Lotus star was removed from the cast of Rob McElhenney's Mythic Quest after alleged misconduct complaints were made against him.

The actor, 83, left the show last April and the reasons for his departure weren't known at the time.

But now, following reports of at least two complaints against the veteran actor, he has spoken about his sorrow of "jokes" that might have upset people.

"This is a sincere and deeply felt apology," he said in a statement.

Longbottom worked in a game studio for the fictional game called Mythic Quest and was the head game writer.

As well as Mythic Quest, Abraham has featured in a number of other films, including The Grand Budapest Hotel, Robin Hood, Homeland and How To Train Your Dragon along with many more.

His latest role came as Bert Di Grasso in White Lotus, which co-starred Jennifer Coolidge, Theo James and Aubrey Plaza.
