Denise Welch opened up on the heartbreaking loss of her father on Monday's Loose Women as she admitted she has days where she can't control her emotions.
The Loose Women panel, comprised of Denise, Janet Street-Porter, Gloria Hunniford and host Kaye Adams, were discussing whether they viewed themselves as "comfortable cries".
Janet immediately admitted she struggles to show her emotions and compared herself to her late father who "never cried" while Denise revealed she was also similar to her father but, in fact, Vin Welch was open with her emotions.
The actress joked her late father would ring her up in tears over television programmes.

She revealed her grief affects the actress in waves and she often finds herself in tears over her father's death.
The Loose Women star's father died in 2021. At the time, she shared a picture of her holding Vin's hand with the caption: "The words I’ve dreaded saying all of my life. Last night at 11pm, we lost our dad, the life force that was Vin Welch.
"After making a miraculous recovery recently from major surgeries, pneumonia plus his existing pulmonary fibrosis was more than even he could take. He left us surrounded by his family who could not have loved anyone more. I can’t quite function as I’m so grief stricken, but I know he meant so much to so many people, even those who’d never met him.

The nurses in Ward 6 at Durham University hospital will forever be in our hearts as they gave dad the most peaceful passing anyone could wish for."
Denise went on to add that her husband, Lincoln Townley, has become more in touch with his emotions since marrying the actress.
She explained she "opened a valve" and her husband finds himself becoming emotional in moments that wouldn't have affected him previously.
