Britney Spears’ long awaited autobiography may soon be hitting shelves as reports say the writing process is complete and a release date is being mulled.
The 41-year-old pop singer has been writing her memoirs for the past couple of years since her controversial conservatorship order was lifted.
The star has been in the spotlight since she was a teen - hitting the top of the charts with her debut single, …Baby One More Time, when she was just 16.
In the years since, Brit has seen her life go through ups, downs, marriages, divorces, motherhood and more - and now she is said to have completed putting her life to paper.
Britney is said to have written her autobiography with the help of Time magazine journalist Sam Lansky and that it will be published this autumn.
Alyssa Milano 'apologises to Britney' as she's called out for 'bullying' tweetSources have told The Sun that the book will: "cover her most vulnerable moments including her relationship with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her controversial conservatorship.
"It will also detail how she came to find happiness with her husband, actor Sam Asghari."
Back in November 2021, Britney saw her freedoms restored when a conservatorship held against her was lifted by a judge.
For the previous 13 years, her financial and personal affairs had been controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, 70.
The star soon set to work writing up her life story - with reports in April last year revealing she was struggling emotionally with the work.
Taking to instagram at the time, the star wrote in a since-deleted post: “Writing my book is actually hard after speaking for two hours each time to this lovely lady trying to create drafts…
“I cry for two days afterwards. I’m like, ‘Jesus Christ, I’ve been through it!’.
“It is incredibly cleansing yet hard.”
And by July, it was suggested the book was nearing completion - but that a paper shortage was preventing work from progressing.
Sources told TMZ that the Sometimes singer and her team were hoping to release the book, set to be published by Simon & Schuster, in January but a paper shortage has scuppered the plan.

During the court case in which she had her conservatorship overturned, Britney shared heartbreaking details in court about how her life was controlled - including being forced to use contraceptives to prevent her having more children and she was also banned from marrying.
Since the conservatorship was lifted, the star has married actor and model Sam Asghari, 29 - however recent reports have suggested the marriage is in crisis.
