Netflix's new horror series Brand New Cherry Flavour made people "throw up" with fear.

The show was released in 2021, but has been making a comeback this month, with fans saying that they are "too scared to look at the TV".

It follows the story of an aspiring filmmaker who heads to Hollywood in the early 1990s to make her movie.

Lisa Nova, who is played by Rosa Salzar, falls down a rabbit hole of supernatural revenge that spirals out of control.

One viewer wrote: "Brand New Cherry Flavour has scared me for life."

And a sixth person wrote: "I don't think a show has ever made me almost throw up as much as this one did."

The Filipino thriller has been branded one of this years' scariest films.

After a student took her own life on the grounds of an all-girls Catholic school, her classmates claim that they are being haunted by her ghost.

A clairvoyant guidance counsellor, played by Bea Alonzo, heads to the school to investigate and makes some horrifying discoveries.

Another show on Netflix which is bagging the rave reviews is Beef, a dark comedy produced by A24.

It stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong who meet after they are involved in a road-rage accident.

Rotten Tomatoes has given the film 99 per cent.

Critics have spoken highly of the film, with Melanie McFarland, writing: "One day in the future academics may view Beef as a convincing TV distillation of the early 21st-century’s collective mood, a lingering and worsening state of society-wide pandemic anger.

“Hyperbolic? Maybe. But I challenge you to find another series that channels the spectrum of fury as wildly, beautifully and crazily while, for the most part, maintaining its focal clarity.”

Steven Yeun was praised as one of the "best actors of his generation" by another critic.
