While weddings often see friends and extended family come together to witness a couple's special day, a hen party is often held with a bride's closest friends. Female friends and family members often come together to celebrate the bride-to-be's quirky plans before she officially becomes a wife.
Taking to the popular parenting forum Mumsnet, a woman has admitted her devastation that her close pal hasn't invited her to the hen do. After explaining the upsetting ordeal, people online have slammed the bride for her 'humiliating' excuse.
The woman explained: "A friend is getting married later this year - it's abroad and over a few days with expensive flights, hotel, time off work, etc."

"We were recently on a night out and she told me I wasn't invited to her hen party. There were too many and she hoped I would not be upset, but I wasn't on the final numbers list.
'I'm spending £20k on a new bathroom - but won't help my brother out with cash'
"I think she told me because the others we were out with were all invited and she was worried I would find out.
"I said nothing, but I'm quite upset and not sure I want to go to the wedding anymore. I clearly value the friendship more than she does and feel silly spending so much money on flights, taking time off, buying a present, for someone who doesn’t value me as much.
"She was invited to my hen do but didn't go. She did go to my wedding.
"I know she is entitled to invite who she wants. I'm considering now attending the wedding."
Seeking advice, she questioned: "Am I being unreasonable?"
Flocking to the comment section, Mumsnet users sympathised with the wedding guests.
One person wrote: "That would sting. It's weird to leave one person you class as a good friend off."
A second said: "That's shocking. I'm not surprised you didn't say anything. Humiliating to be told on a night out around all he invited friends too. That would be the end of the friendship for me."
