Louise Thompson says she's 'survived a second time' after hospital dash

Louise Thompson has reflected on her health scare and praised herself for "surviving a second time" after a hospital dash.

Former Made in Chelsea star Louise, 32, lost three pints of blood after she haemorrhaged at home recently.

Louise previously suffered a traumatic labour with her son Leo in 2021, which caused her to have a string of health problems and PTSD.

After ending up in hospital again, Louise shared her determination to "reframe" her experience as "reassuring" that she has "survived each time".

As the mum-of-one, who shares her son with her fiancé Ryan Libbey, posted a gorgeous photo on Instagram of herself smiling she shared her positive outlook on the experience in the caption.

She wrote: "You know the funny thing about surviving the second time round is that you know you’re not just lucky. You understand the capacity of the human body. You know how strong you are.

"You understand what modern medicine is capable of and what you can withstand. Wow you can withstand an awful lot".

"I'm trying to reframe it as reassuring," Louise wrote. "It’s reassuring that I’ve come and gone from hospital (unexpectedly) and survived each time."

She then explained: "I never thought it would happen to me, and it did. Then I never thought it would happen again. But it kinda did.

"So I guess nothing in life is for certain. NOTHING."

However, Louise revealed she is not going to let the experience cause her to "live in fear".

She wrote: "But the good thing is that I can learn from it. I have learnt that I DON’T want to live my life in fear anymore… and I’m definitely not going to undo all of my hard work.

"I have great systems and support in place now.

"Soooo… I want to resume life as normal as quickly as poss plz. With an extra large serving of perspective and gratitude," Louise wrote alongside a praying emoji.

Louise then ended the caption by explaining how wanting to spend time with her son is the driving force for her change in mindset.

She said: "Ps. This last week I’ve managed to distract any ruminating/analysing/damn awful, circulating, obsessive thoughts with the thought of lying there wishing I had more time with my boy which then makes me shift gear and feel v v VVV present and forces me to really soak up the good stuff.

"A little blessing… or just another mind game."

Louise was soon flooded with supportive messages as one wrote: "Sending you so much love and we are all so glad you are ok," followed by a red heart emoji.

Another advised: "Reframing is the most powerful tool I’ve learned through trauma. It brings such a gratitude. Sending love and strength".

And a third said: "You are such an inspiration, I am in awe at your positive attitude. Your little boy must be so proud of you xx".

Louise revealed she was rushed to hospital with an "unexpected health situation" last week.

Louise's fiancé Ryan later revealed she had suffered a haemorrhage at home as he wrote on his Instagram story: "Last Friday it got flipped on his head again. Louise haemorrhaged at home, again. Rushed to hospital for surgery and close monitoring for four days.

"Louise is home now, stable and doing well. She's a warrior!"

Ryan, 32, revealed their had been further setbacks for their family of three as they'd had to cancel a two week holiday to St Lucia and their son had fallen ill.

"Leo has picked up impetigo from nursery. Dad is tired."
