Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany got the last laugh as she trolled Eli Apple and the Cincinnati Bengals after the Kansas City Chiefs won the AFC to reach the Super Bowl.
In a pulsating AFC Championship Game, Patricks Mahomes overcame adversity in his ankle injury to lead the Chiefs past the Bengals with a 23-20 win at Arrowhead Stadium. Mahomes entered the game without a win in three meetings with Bengals star Burrow, but the MVP favourite ensured he finally got one over his rival as Harrison Butker sunk the clinching field goal to win with three seconds remaining.
Brittany has made headlines in the past as she poured champagne over fans at Arrowhead Stadium, while also complaining the referees don’t favour the Chiefs with big calls. She took time away from social media as a result, but she returned in time for the biggest game of the season to hit out at the Cincinnati Mayor after he fired a shot at Mahomes ahead of Sunday’s match.
Brittany celebrated the win in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs reached a third Super Bowl in four years. She was seen with father-in-law Pat Mahomes, posting videos to her Instagram.
Pat Mahomes lit up a cigar to help celebrate the victory, while Brittany looked to once again ridicule the Bengals after all the trash talk in the build-up to the match. Her attention then turned to a fan seated in the lower level, whose sign read ‘Cancun on 3’.

Bengals cornerback Apple tweeted the phrase after Cincinnati defeated the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. The 27-year-old played well and finished with six tackles and a tackle for loss in the defeat to the Chiefs, although he was caked for holding in a crucial stage of the game.
Brittany also tweeted ‘Cancun on 3’ while tagging Apple to ensure he got a taste of his own medicine. She has always been a passionate fan and staunch defender of her husband, marrying Mahomes in March 2022 while they have a daughter and son together.

Burrow was 3-0 against Mahomes eading into the match.
Mahomes’ wife Brittany took offence to the joke and called it out. She took to Twitter to reply: “WEAK. & embarrassing.”
Mayor Pureval even tweeted an apology to the city of Cincinnati for his joke, writing: “Bengals nation, Lol. I hear you. My competitive juices and love for cincy [sic] got the best of me. My bad. Staying hungry and humble. See you Sunday. Who Dey baby!”
Mahomes’ Chiefs will face the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII at the University of Phoenix Stadium on February 12. The Eagles crushed the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 in the NFC Championship Game.
