If your five layers, slipper socks and gloves still aren’t keeping you warm in this freezing cold weather, it may be time to invest in a good ol’ pair of thermals.

When it comes to thermals, Marks and Spencer’s range is usually our go-to, however they’re not the cheapest, priced at £25 for a pack of two.

Luckily, savvy shoppers have discovered these budget £6.99 thermals from Decathlon which they say are ‘so warm’ they don’t even need to put the heating on at home while wearing them.

Decathlon is selling the Women’s Ski Base Layer Top and matching Ski Base Layer Bottoms for £6.99 each - making it just £13.98 for the full set - or you can buy them as separates.

The thermals have proven to be a huge hit, amassing over 2,000 five-star reviews on the Decathlon website from delighted customers.

One shopper said: “Very cosy base layer. Helps to keep me warm in the house without the use of heat. Will pay for itself very quickly. I wear the leggings also.”

A second calling it ‘a must-have winter top’ added: “Lovely top, great fit and so warm and comfortable. Great under clothes and also smart enough to wear on it's own.”

While a third raved: “It's soooo warm. Creates a barrier against the cold as soon as I put it on.”

The thermals are still available in a huge ranges of sizes from a UK XS-2XL in the top, and a UK 4-16 in the bottoms.

As the name suggests, the thermals are specifically designed for skiing, so it’s safe to say they’ll be able to keep you nice and cosy - even in sub-zero temperatures.

Black, form-fitting and comfortable both the top and leggings easily fit under top layers without adding bulk, and thanks to their simple design and great quality, they can also be worn separately as individual pieces, or together as a full set.

You can pick up the thermal set here - but be quick, as it's selling fast.
