The extradition of Daniel Kinahan was the most tracked flight in the world as it approached Ireland on Sunday.
The alleged cartel boss was returned to Ireland on board the Government jet, which is a Dassault Falcon 6X.
It had a call sign of IRL290, and at one point, more than 43,000 were tracking it.
Flight tracking website FlightRadar24 showed it was the most followed flight in the world at the time.
On Sunday, Kinahan was flown into Casement Aerodrome airport in Baldonnel at 6.30pm - having been handed over to Gardai at Dubai’s Al Maktoum Airport earlier that day.
It took off from Dubai at 10.20am Irish time and flew direct to Dublin.
Once on Irish soil, Kinahan was arrested on the tarmac by Detective Sergeant Colin Davidson of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau at 6.49pm.
Kinahan was then taken under heavy armed escort straight to the Criminal Courts of Justice on Parkgate Street - where he arrived at 7.10pm.
He was brought into the basement area of the CCJ where he remained until he was brought to a holding cell just before the sitting got underway.
Kinahan is accused of directing the Kinahan Organised Crime Group over the course of a bloody feud that resulted in 18 murders.
He was remanded in custody at Portlaoise Prison until October.
