Teen girl raped at beauty spot as police hunt attacker

A 17-year-old girl has been raped at a popular beauty spot in Stoke-on-Trent, with police hunting for the attacker.

Staffordshire Police were called to Berryhill Fields, off Dividy Road, at 8.15pm on July 2, where a crime scene was put in place.

Police are continuing to investigate.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We are investigating following reports of a rape in Stoke-on-Trent. We were called to Berryhill Fields after a 17-year-old girl reported she had been raped by a man."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 811 of July 2. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
