Taime Downe’s fiancee has died after falling overboard on a cruise ship as the Faster Pussycat frontman was set to play on board The 80s Cruise
Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe’s fiancee has died at sea after she fell overboard from a cruise ship, it’s been confirmed.
Kimberly Burch suffered a tragic fall on the first night of The 80s Cruise on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Explorer of the Seas. The incident occurred on March 2. Burch’s body is yet to be found.
A Royal Caribbean Group spokesman told Mail Online: "Our crew immediately launched a search and rescue effort, is working with local authorities, and we are providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time. To respect the privacy of our guest’s family, we have no additional details to share."
The 56-year-old realtor had been partnered with Downe, 60, for approximately six years. She had joined the rocker on the cruise ship as he got ready to perform on board. The cruise departed from Miami and was set to visit Nassau, San Juan, and Labadee.
She posted an image with her partner just hours before the fatal fall. Posting it on social media as the pair smiled, she wrote: "We made it to @the80scruise."
However, her mum, Carnell Burch confirmed her sad passing to TMZ, saying Downe had called her to share the tragic news. A U.S. Coast Guard spokesperson told the publication the incident happened around 20 miles away from Freeport, Bahamas.
Burch is said to have gone overboard on the first day of the cruise. A guest took to Twitter/X to say: "Currently on the #RCL Explorer of the Seas for the #80scruise. Unfortunately, we have a "woman overboard’ situation and boats have been deployed. We are currently 80+ miles from Miami at 11pm PST. Not good."
Fans took to social media with messages of condolence following the news. Among them was Disturbed frontman David Draiman, who wrote: "Omg… I’m SO sorry for your loss brother. #TaimeDowne #KimberlyBurch"
