Elliot Lee was involved in a car accident on his way home from Wrexham’s EFL Trophy clash against Bolton, the Welsh club have announced.
A statement confirmed that the midfielder, 30, ‘suffered no major injuries’ in the accident.
It added: ‘The incident involved one other car and resulted in the drivers of both cars being taken to hospital.
‘Emergency services were quickly on the scene and the club would like to thank them for their prompt response and action.
‘The player suffered no major injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle is being treated for their injuries.’

Lee had starred in his side’s 1-0 win over Bolton in the Vertu Trophy on Tuesday night and was substituted shortly after the hour mark.
The 30-year-old, son of Premier League legend and former England international Rob Lee, has made over 100 appearances for Wrexham since joining from Charlton two-and-a-half years ago.
Wrexham, who are vying for promotion to The Championship from League One, will face Peterborough United in the last four of the Vertu Trophy and will hope to book a date at Wembley later in the season.
Andy Cannon was the Wrexham matchwinner last night and manager Phil Parkinson was delighted to emerge victorious after a tough battle.
‘The early part of the game, we kind of had to work out their 3-4-3 system,’ he said.

‘We didn’t expect them to play that way and it took a bit of time to get to grips with that. But the in-game management, I thought, was great from the lads.
‘We shout the messages onto the pitch but they worked it out themselves really.
‘I thought we had some decent spells in the first half and probably went for the killer pass too many times rather than trying to get control.
‘But we adapted that really well in the second period and I was really pleased with how we played against a good side.
‘It was a real competitive game, it was hard fought, and we are very pleased to progress.’
