An airplane carrying 176 people was engulfed in flames in South Korea, almost a month to the day that a Jeju Air jet crashed, killing 179 people on board.
The fire broke out in the tail section of the low-cost Air Busan plane, bound for Hong Kong, at Gimhae Airport.
There were 169 passengers and seven crew members on board when the smoke was detected as the aircraft was being prepared for takeoff.
People were sent running for their lives as flames began spreading within minutes.
Footage shared on X shows plumes of grey smoke and flames rising from the scene, near the main building of Gimhae Airport.
One person has been injured, Yonhap news agency reported, citing South Korean authorities.
All passengers and crew were able to escape and there were no casualties.
The incident happened earlier today at 10.30 pm local time (1.30pm GMT).
Firefighters have arrived at the site and are working to extinguish the fire as the plane remains on the tarmac.
It is yet unclear what caused the incident, but it comes as the nation is still reeling from the deadliest air disaster on South Korean soil.
The crash at Muan International Airport on December 29 killed all but two of the 181 people on board of the Jeju Air plane.
Entire families were wiped out as the aircraft skidded into a concrete wall upon landing and burst into flames.
