Currently serving as a unique holiday rental spot, Torsa can be hired out in its entirety for an exclusive retreat. The owners are now looking to pass this idyllic island on to the right buyer, reports the Daily Record.
Recently, Torsa made headlines amid reports that Sheikh Yasser al-Habib, a contentious Islamic hate preacher, was negotiating to snap up the property.
According to the BBC, Sheikh Yasser al-Habib aimed to transform Torsa in Argyll into his own Sharia law-based Islamic "homeland". Earlier in the year, his organisation initiated a £3.5 million fundraising campaign to acquire the island, yet claims about its sale to him have been dismissed by real estate agents Savills, tasked with marketing the property.

To put the record straight, theTorsa Island website has even clarified the current situation by saying "contrary to recent press articles regarding Torsa, the sale of the island is not at an advanced stage with any buyer. Rather, the island remains for sale and continues to attract widespread attention."
The website continues "Viewings are ongoing with buyers who, like the current owner, are captivated by its scenic beauty, wildlife and the opportunity to sail in tranquil waters. Who ultimately buys will be a decision for the owners who have always said they hope to find the right buyer who will continue to enjoy this haven as their family have done for generations."
