Kim Jong-un is trying to quash Western influence from his closed-off nation, with sources claiming two new draconian laws have been brought in to make lives more difficult

North Korea’s fun-sucking despotic leader Kim Jong-un has introduced a series of new draconian laws aimed at quashing Western influence on the reclusive nation.

According to a new report in Daily NK , two major new rules have been brought in. The first is to force a new army of mobile phone-checking police to stop and search through the phones of any young people they see to make sure no “South Korean influence” is seen.

If you’re caught with anything on your device, you’re then sent to a “forced labour camp”. And the second new draconian rule brought in has seen divorce banned.

On the first law, a source, speaking to NK, said: “North Koreans have had to sit through a mind-numbing number of lectures on preserving the ‘Pyongyang cultural language’ [the standard North Korean dialect] and not using the language of the ‘puppets’ [in South Korea], and another series of lectures was held in every social organisation earlier this month.

“Anyone caught by the monitors is immediately sent to a labour camp and subjected to all kinds of drudgery. Young people feel that the current street checks are worse than anything they’ve seen in movies about the Japanese colonial period. Since there is nothing illegal about having a cell phone, they object that the government shouldn’t have sold the phones in the first place if it was going to be so strict with these inspections.”

The searches are mainly being done in Chongjn, but are expected to be rolled out elsewhere if they work.

The second law banning divorce is said to have been done as “Dear Leader” and previous leaders consider it to be “abnormal behaviour” – something nuke-threatening, chain-smoking Kim Jong-un would know a lot about.

Another source claimed to NK that the leadership has now gone one step further and branded divorced couples as a “social problem” and blamed them for issues with children being “discriminated against” – and it is hoped the new law will “revolutionise” the family dynamics within the country.

They said: “Divorced individuals are stigmatized as abnormal people who have committed pathetic and backward behaviours that should not occur in a socialist society.
