Lucy’s school hailed her ’bright, hard-working and well-motivated’

TWO teenagers have been charged after a "kind" schoolgirl reportedly died when she took MDMA at a nightclub.

Lucy Hill, 16, was raced to hospital after she collapsed in the Exeter bar, but tragically died.

Two teenagers have been charged after Lucy Hill, 16, after becoming unwell at a Devon nightclub

Emergency services were raced to Move Nightclub not long after midnight on December 3, 2022, after the schoolgirl became unwell.

Sadly Lucy, whose friends claimed had taken a tablet "believed to be MDMA", could not be saved.

Cops arrested four teenagers in the wake of her death.

Now two 18-year-olds have now been charged with supplying ecstasy.

James Greaves and Taylor Rowsell will appear in court over the schoolgirl’s death next month.

Lucy’s school paid tribute to her in the days after her death, hailing her "kind, considerate beautiful person".

Devon and Cornwall Police today said: "James Greaves, 18, of Basset Road, Camborne, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of ecstasy and the supply of a class A drug.

"He has been released on bail to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 12 June.

"Taylor Rowsell, 18, of Rosebery Road, Exmouth, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of ecstasy and the supply of a class A drug.

"He has been released on bail to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 12 June.

"An 18-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug was given a simple adult caution for the offence.

"No further police action will be taken against an 18-year-old woman who had been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug."

She was always smiling, looking out for others and many of her friends benefited from her loyalty and care. She was bright, hard-working and well-motivated.

Lucy’s School

An inquest opening in December 2022 heard how Lucy’s friends said she had taken a tablet "believed to be MDMA".

The teen’s school Exmouth Community College paid tribute to the teen in the days after her death.

The school wrote: "Lucy was a kind, considerate beautiful person. She was very well-liked by her peers and the staff who knew her well.

"She was always smiling, looking out for others and many of her friends benefited from her loyalty and care. She was bright, hard-working and well-motivated.

"She was predicted to perform at the very highest level in her GCSE subjects. She will be greatly missed but has left us all with fond memories of the lovely person that she was.

"The college has been left reeling from the shock of Lucy not being with us anymore. Her friends, teachers and peers have shown amazing fortitude and support for each other."
