Prince Harry will be making a trip to the United Kingdom for an Invictus event, but Meghan Markle may not join him. She is anxious to make a return to the country

Meghan Markle’ s anxiety about returning to the United Kingdom might prevent her from supporting Prince Harry at the Invictus Games 10th Anniversary Service of the Invictus Games.

While Meghan has been back to the country since the pair stepped back from their royal duties and moved to California, it was a rare occasion. She made the trek for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, but not for King Charles III’s coronation which Harry attended alone. As of now, Harry is set to speak at the event at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 at 5 p.m., according to a copy of the schedule seen by The Express.

An insider told the publication: “Both Harry and Meghan are listed as guests and a speech has been scheduled, but there is still a question mark over whether Meghan will make an appearance. Her name has been pencilled in as a TBC (to be confirmed)."

The insider told The Express that Meghan is "anxious" about attending, but this could be an opportunity to mend their family relationship after years of rifts. The source said: "It’s a worthy cause where Harry is the key ambassador, and it will be a good starting point for the Sussexes to repair relations with the Royal Family and the British people at the same time."

Plus, Charles and Camilla don’t have a close relationship with Archie and Lily since the kids live in the States with their parents. Their other children, those of Prince William and Kate Middleton, are able to see the King and Queen consort more often which has helped create "good relationships."

This could be an opportunity for the kids to get closer with their grandparents, but that still really depends on Meghan. The insider explained that Archie and Lily won’t be heading over the pond unless their mother does. "Harry is hoping that they will join him so that they can all enjoy the service, and everyone can meet up with members of his family while they are over," the source said.

Harry’s presence is a given since he helped create the games in 2014. This major milestone is giving Harry strong motivation to return to his home, but his wife won’t necessarily be expected to do the same. Although, Meghan has been at Invictus events in the past at her husband’s side.
