Fortnite players have the chance to pick up a brand new Pickaxe, which will be added to their profile free of charge upon redeeming any V-Bucks gift card.

Epic Games has announced a brand new deal in which players who redeem any Fortnite V-Bucks card between Monday, March 18 and April 14, 2024will get the Midnight Scythe Pickaxe (which is currently exclusive to this deal) free of charge. The deal is available to players on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android and requires an Epic Games account connected to your platform of choice.

Epic confirmed that the Midnight Scythe Pickaxe deal is only available in specific regions, which are as follows:

The promotion is running from Monday, March 18 until April 14, 2024 (Tuesday, March 19 until April 14, 2024 for players in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand).

While it's a shame for players in regions where this deal is unavailable, it's not all doom and gloom as Epic has confirmed that The Midnight Scythe Pickaxe is not exclusive to this promotion, and may become purchasable in the Fortnite Shop at a later date.

How to get the Fortnite Midnight Scythe Pickaxe

To get the Fortnite Midnight Scythe Pickaxe you need to redeem a Fortnite V-Bucks gift card between Monday, March 18 and April 14, 2024. the amount on the gift card doesn't matter, nor does it matter which platform you redeem it for. However, redeeming the codes on PlayStation and Xbox is a bit different than on other platforms, so we'll split it into sections below.

PC | Nintendo Switch | Android

To redeem your Fortnite V-Bucks card and earn the Midnight Scythe Pickaxe on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android follow these steps:

After that, the Midnight Scythe Pickaxe will be yours the next time you log into Fortnite. It's worth noting that if you redeem the V-Bucks on Nintendo Switch, you won't be able to spend those V-Bucks on other platforms – however, purchases made on Switch will still appear in your in-game locker.

Redeeming your Fortnite V-Bucks card on Xbox is similar to the other platforms, but there's extra steps involved this time around:
