Champions League holders Manchester City will take on Real Madrid in the last eight of the tournament whilst Arsenal will face Harry Kane's Bayern Munich.

The duo are the last remaining hopes for the Premier League in Europe with English sides winning the tournament in three of the past five years. Jude Bellingham's Real Madrid will get the chance to avenge last year's defeat to City with Kane returning to north London - less than a year after leaving Tottenham.

PSG take on Barcelona with Atletico Madrid facing Borussia Dortmund. The winner of City and Real will take on either Arsenal or Bayern in the semi-finals.

All eight teams continue to dream of the final at Wembley in June. The last time the Champions League final was played at the London-based venue Bayern completed their 2013 treble by seeing off Dortmund.

City will be looking to emulate Real, who remain the only team in the Champions League era to retain their crown having won it in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Victory would also see Pep Guardiola draw level with Carlo Ancelotti, who has won the tournament four times, more than any manager.

The English champions remain on course to land another treble given their domestic exploits and made light work of Copenhagen in the last 16. Arsenal meanwhile needed a penalty shootout - the competition's first since 2016 - to beat Porto at the Emirates.

The Gunners had struggled with a last 16 jinx having consistently lost in the first knockout round before Mikel Arteta's young side secured a dramatic victory. Bayern, Dortmund and Real all secured passage into the last eight with relative comfort, although the Bavarians did need to overcome a first-leg deficit to see off Lazio.

Atletico meanwhile were another team to need penalties to ensure they made it into the quarter-finals once more. Diego Simeone's side found themselves 1-0 down to Inter Milan on Wednesday night, meaning they trailed 2-0 on aggregate before a comeback eventually led to victory.
