Jennifer Lopez has quietly cancelled a handful of her upcoming tour dates, with speculation of "low ticket sales" rife on social media.

The 54-year-old pop icon released tickets for her tour just a fortnight ago, with the superstar set to tour the United States with her This is Me... Now Tour. The cancelled shows, across seven cities. were set to take place in late August across Nashville, New Orleans, Raleigh, Atlanta, Houston, Cleveland and Tampa, according to reports.

But now when you head to Ticketmaster to look at the date and potentially buy tickets, it now reads: "Unfortunately, the Event Organiser has had to cancel your event."

Jennifer has not spoken out about the cancelled shows, with them seemingly removed quietly and unexpectedly. Entertainment Weekly has reported that the cancellations were likely due to a “logistical issue” on the tour promoter’s end.

But this hasn't stopped fans, critics and social media users, in general, speculating a bigger reason as to why the On The Floor hitmaker has cancelled a handful of her upcoming summer gigs. Perez Hilton, celebrity blogger and the founder of his iconic gossip site, has taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a screengrab that proves "low ticket sales" for JLo's tour.

Sharing a screengrab of the Ticketmaster arena map for Jennifer's Miami show due to take place in June, Perez penned: "This is shocking. Look at how many tickets remain for the second stop of #JenniferLopez's upcoming tour! Tickets have been on sale for a while! This is in Miami - a big city with a lot of Latinos, her demo - and it's a Friday night! Eeek!!!"

Replying to Perez, one social media user said: "In my opinion people like her more out of state. She should go on an international tour instead." While another said: "The economy is rough."

Elsewhere someone else on X speculated: "Not @JLo canceling her Tampa tour date due to low ticket sales." Original standard ticket prices for Jennifer Lopez's 2024 tour have varied, with the lowest available original ticket prices on Ticketmaster ranging from $49.95 to $144.75.
