Love Island's Idris Virgo has entered an angry argument with boxer Jake Paul who threatened to 'knock him out'.

He got into a spat with the YouTuber and Adin Ross as they called them out after Idris, who has been a ring regular for ten years, slammed the decision to put sporting legend Mike Tyson, 57, up against Jake, 27, later this year. They didn't like his remark and were quick to put him straight during an online stream.

The 23-year-old Adin told Idris: "Jake Paul will knock you the f*** out" before he turned to Jake and told him: "I got you bro." It comes after the reality star - who appeared in the villa back in 2018 - got under the skin of UFC star Mike Parry, who threatened to "kill" him last year after they exchanged words.

The Islander took part in the fourth season of the popular dating show, and has since gone on to become a professional boxer. He said last year that he could step away from fighting and told the Daily Star: “I do want to start acting, I want to get into acting and hopefully get into a small series or a cameo in one of those movies."

Idris started his boxing career in 2015 and competes in the Super Middleweight division. During Love Island he caused a stir when he told Laura Anderson what actually happened between Jack Fowler and Georgia Steel but he got the boot from the ITV dating show when he failed to win Alexandra Cane over.

Speaking to the Mirror previously, he explained why he went down that path. He said: "I had an incident when I was a kid, I was hit in the head with a wooden stick - that's when I thought I need to learn a bit of self defence. I think boxing was my destiny, in the back of my mind as well I've always liked entertainment. I like performing in front of a crowd."

He said that there's an expectation of boxers to all be millionaires, but he compared it to "a normal job" saying that you have to "build yourself up" to get to such levels. Idris said: "If you're not well-known in the industry of boxing and you haven't been to the Olympics and you haven't been a top amateur you've got to sell tickets."
