A student has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a pregnant horse twice – and it “isn’t the first” first equine victim.
Steven Lee Snyder, 18, from Fairfax County, Virginia, US, was allegedly caught forcing his hand inside the vagina of the mare, called Angun, while away in Phuket Thailand on Sunday March 10. Disgruntled owners Chatcharoj Lek-Awut, 50, and his wife Prapada, 43, became suspicious of the assault after they returned from a trip to find Angun in distress – with her genitals allegedly sustaining damage. The CCTV footage showed Synder holding his phone whilst seemingly touching the horse’s vagina with the other.
The couple submitted to the Thalang Police Station and animal nonprofit Watchdog Thailand Foundation on Monday. Local police found the teen on Monday and took him to his father, Sean, to show him the footage of the alleged attack. “This apparently isn't the first time, he said that you have done this before,” the dad said to the sheepish son outside their villa, according to video footage.

Lieutenant Colonel Yuthaphon Watthaseth and his officers arrested the boy outside his home, which was located near the stables. “Steven and his family are scheduled to meet with the horse owners at the station to discuss negotiations on March 16,” the Lieutenant Colonel said.
“There are medical expenses for the injured horse that the family may have to pay for. We will mediate between the two people to ensure that they are both happy with the outcome and it does not happen again.”
Prapada first became suspicious of Synder – who would regularly visit their stables – by the way he caressed the animals. She said she reported an incident to the cops on February 5, but claims they failed to act.
Now, Prapada is desperate for the teen to seek help and to stop touching their prized Angun and her other horses.
