Two former islanders have parted ways less than two months since they left the Love Island: All Stars villa after having enjoyed a "holiday romance".
Demi Jones, 25, and Luis Morrison, 27, grew close on the ITV2 spin-off show, which launched in January. Demi and weren't coupled-up in the villa but ended up briefly dating after they were both dumped from the show just eight days in.
However, it's now been reported that whilst they "did really get on," Demi - who first appeared on Love Island in 2020 - has decided that it would be "better to cool things off". The reality TV star and Luis - who was on the first series of the show back in 2015 - are said to remain "mates" though.
"They had a bit of holiday romance and did really get on, but Demi has a lot going on and decided it would be better to cool things off," a source told the Sun. The source continued by saying: "They haven't made a big deal about it because they are still mates and happy to hang out with the rest of the group still. There's just nothing romantic there."
Demi and Luis were among the former islanders who returned for Love Island: All Stars earlier this year. After being dumped from the villa, the pair teased that they had already planned their first date for their return to the UK.
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and Tanyel"Although it's extremely early days, Luis and I get on so well. We are not putting any pressure on anything but we have already arranged our first date," Demi said. Whilst Luis said: "We've spoken about going to a restaurant in London and then meeting up with our mates for a night out."
There was an update weeks later during the live final, when they were seen holding hands in the audience. Demi told host Maya Jama, 29, at the time: "We're still seeing each other which is nice - regardless of how long we were in the villa for." She added: "It's been nice, we've spent a few weekends together. We're just gonna see how it goes."
Maya went on to comment: "So you left the villa [and] the romance has blossomed." Demi responded: "Still blossoming. A couple of dates, we've spent a few weekends together, so it's been nice. We've been in each others pockets."
The news comes following the announcement that two Love Island couples have split up in recent weeks. Earlier this week, Zachariah Noble and Molly Marsh announced that they had separated after having met on then show last year. It's been stated that they are "still extremely close friends" and that the relationship has "ended on good terms for both of them".
Whilst earlier this month it was revealed that Nas Majeed and Eva Zapico have now separated. The former couple met on the show in 2020 and had been together since then. Nas said in a statement: "There is no bad blood or wrong doing - it was a mutual decision and completely amicable decision."
