A Netflix star has been slammed as the "most annoying character ever" in a furious takedown.
Viewers have complained about a character while watching the new crime drama The Gentlemen. Many people have raved about how great the series is, with many rating it 10 out of 10.
The show is a spin-off of Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name which is based on the dirty dealings of London’s gangsters. The Gentlemen follows English soldier Eddie Halstead as he tried to navigate the criminal underworld as well as looking out for his loved ones.
The character of Eddie is played by actor Theo James who inherits a massive estate and the title of Duke of Halstead from his late father unexpectedly. But, not is all as it seems as he soon finds out that the land he now owns have become part of a marijuana empire run by a criminal.
Despite fans enjoying the show, many haven't taken to one character in particular. Some viewers have pointed out that they don't like Eddie’s cocaine-addicted brother Freddy, who is played by actor Daniel Ings.

A second wrote: "Freddy has to be the most annoying character ever in a series." As a third commented: "Freddy is such an annoying imp, oh my God. That’s why his dad didn’t will him anything."
"There is annoying, then there’s Freddy on The Gentleman," a fourth said as another added: "I'm watching The Gentlemen, and I want to kill Freddy." A fifth commented: "Just one episode in The Gentlemen, and I want to strangle Freddy myself. WTF!!!"
Talking about his character Eddie, Theo told Netflix's Tudum: "He realises that the estate, this crumbling vestige of the British Empire, has been propped up by criminality." The Gentlemen is currently rated at 73% on the Tomatometer just a few days after being release, with an average Audience Score of 83% and currently sits at number one on Netflix’s TV programmes chart.
Despite some fans finding the character of Freddy irritating, many have raved about the new series. One said: "So far it’s great. Best thing I’ve seen on Netflix for a while."
As another added: "In my opinion, 10/10," with a third writing: "Only watched the first episode, but it's really good so far. Much needed new good quality content for Netflix." A fourth fan took to Twitter to say: "Love it. Both serious and hilarious that you don’t even realise you are watching a crime show."
