Meghan Markle has a sweet nickname for husband Prince Harry as the pair made a touching visit to the home and the family of one of the victims of the Uvalde Shooting.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met the family of school teacher Irma Garcia, one of the fatalities of the 2022 shooting which saw 19 students and two teachers left dead alongside another 17 injured by 18-year-old shooter Salvador Ramos. Meeting the Garcia family at home, Meghan and Harry joined in with singing happy birthday to one family member as well as posing for pictures and chatting with other members.
In a video clip shared online, the couple can be seen joining in with the birthday celebrations. Before starting to sing, Meghan can be seen holding a cake with birthday candles as she turns to Harry and called him: “My love.”

A video clip shows Meghan calling Harry by a cute nickname as she refers to him as "My love" (X)Garcia’s nephew, John Martinez, shared a clip of the Duke and Duchess singing as he wrote on Twitter: "Prince Harry and Meghan Markle singing happy birthday to my mom". In the video Meghan can be seen presenting a birthday cake as Harry stands behind her, with the couple joining in the family to sing.

In an interview to CNN, Martinez revealed the visit from the Sussexes was a surprise to the family as he told the station: " It was such a beautiful experience, they’re so nice and compassionate, very down to earth, humble people.It was kind of by surprise, [Meghan] had called my mom one random day and dropped the news on us not too long ago that she was coming to visit the kids and of course we got so excited."
Martinez described the visit from the Sussexes as 'meaning the world' in another interview to Hello magazine, as he said: " It truly meant the world that Harry and Meghan showed up to visit the family, there were lots of tears of joy and heartfelt moments. They were the kindest, most humble people ever, it was like having family and friends over, having an amazing time together."

The Duchess of Sussex was named as one of the keynote panellists at the South by Southwest (SXSW) series of festivals and conferences.
On Friday (March 8) Meghan, along with Brooke Shields, Katie Couric, Errin Haines and Nancy Wang Yuen, formed a panel for a talk titled "Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen". The panel was selected because all the women featured are thought to champion human rights and gender equality.
