A man has shared a horrific warning on social media, after he mistakenly tried to grab a strange black mass inside a tree.
Hector Aparicio was out for a stroll in the woods in Mexico, when he stumbled upon an unusual-looking tree. It had a strange lump on the tree trunk that was an odd black colour.
He got closer to investigate, and ultimately decided to give the lump a little touch, to see what was really going on there. But, that turned out to be a terrible decision, as it was actually a giant spider's nest.
He filmed the moment a whole host of tiny harvestmen spiders scrambled all over his hands and arms, in footage that would make most people's skin crawl. Thankfully, although they look terrifying, the spiders actually aren't harmful at all.
After posting the clip on TikTok (@hectoraparicio16), thousands of people rushed to the comments to share their views. One person said: “Oh nah.” Someone else commented: “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT ARE U DOING.” [sic] Another user wrote: “NOOO.” [sic] while another added: “I have arachnophobia and I am not over it.”
“Does anyone else feel like they’re walking on their body?,” asked Martha. “Those spiders don't do anything but they are very dirty,” added someone else
Meanwhile, a mum was shocked to discover what she claims to be a spider's nest inside her ear, after using an earbud camera to look inside. Lucy Wild, 29, made the grim discovery while investigating ear pain, thinking it was a build up of wax. She had pulled a spider from her ear three weeks earlier and thought that was the end of the ordeal, but a "scratchy" pain persisted.
She was shocked to find what she claims to be a spider's nest - which she said was like something out of science fiction. Doctors cleared out her ear but Lucy says she's still emotionally scarred by what happened.
