AFC Wimbledon midfielder Harry Pell has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association (FA) after he allegedly kicked balls at MK Dons fans.
The incident occurred ahead of Wimbledon's 1-0 win over their rivals at Cherry Red Records Stadium on Saturday, with footage posted on social media appearing to show Pell kicking balls into the stand where the MK Dons supporters were sat during the warm-up.
An MK Dons fans group said after the game they planned on "making a formal complaint" about Pell's actions, while the club's supporters board vowed to look into "the shocking treatment of supporters".
And Pell has now been formally charged by the FA over the incident, with a spokesperson saying: "AFC Wimbledon's Harry Pell has been charged with misconduct following their EFL League Two game against Milton Keynes Dons.
"It's alleged that the midfielder acted in an improper manner in the warm-up before the game and he has until Monday 11 March to provide a response." Pell was an unused substitute during the game and has yet to comment publicly about the incident.

Reflecting on the victory, which saw Ronan Curtis score a dramatic late winner in stoppage time, Wimbledon boss Johnnie Jackson told club media : "I can't put it into words. It's the highs and lows of football.
"Today is a reminder of why we love it, why we do it. Personally, that’s the best feeling I've had in the game. It's not about me today, it's about Wimbledon. This football club has waited a long time for that moment.
"We were magnificent. The performance was outstanding on the pitch, in the stands. Behind the scenes, how hard everyone has worked knowing we had a big game, to win it like that, you couldn't write it or make it up."
MK Dons midfielder Alex Gilbey, meanwhile, told BBC Three Counties Radio : "I think after what happened last time (MK Dons beat Wimbledon 3-1 back in January), they knew they had to turn it into an ugly game of football.
"I think with the amount of ability and quality we've got in the changing room, we need to not get sucked into that. I know how much the fans are hurting because I'm hurting just as much. It's the one the lads want to win - we want to do it for the fans."
