Rishi Sunak has revealed that he interrupts the work day to go and check the beds are made in the Downing Street flat.
In a nauseating video alongside his wife Akshata Murty, he discussed how they share the chores at home. Asked by Grazia who is most likely to make the bed, Ms Murty replied “definitely Rishi” as she confessed that she is "not a morning person".
The PM added: "That is not your strong point. But you also just don't like making the bed. It bugs me so I actually sometimes come up back into the flat from the office after we've all left to make the bed because I'll be irritated if it's not made."
His wife replied: "[It is] one of his special skills… Rishi likes to have it done nice and tidy." She added: "When we were studying, I used to actually eat in my bed and Rishi would come home to where I lived - sometimes there would be plates in my bed." Mr Sunak said this was "disgusting".
The PM said that he’s better at loading the dishwasher as when his wife does it it needs “redoing”. He admitted his wife reads more than he does, adding: "I'm too exhausted when I get home at the end of every day, so I watch an episode of Friends and then go to bed. It never gets old.”

Ms Murty conceded that her husband is "the better cook", although Mr Sunak added: "It's mainly just breakfast on a Saturday morning - Gordon Ramsay scrambled eggs."
The Grazia video was reminiscent of Theresa May's interview with her husband Philip on the One Show in 2017 when she suggested there are "girl jobs and boy jobs" in the home.
The PM and his wife Akshata Murty are the richest inhabitants of Downing Street in history with an estimated £520milllion fortune, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
It came as Peter Mandelson suggested Keir Starmer should lose some weight. Appearing on the How To Win An Election podcast, he criticised Mr Sunak for wearing “very fashionable skinny suits and narrow ties” that “diminish him rather than expand him”. “Keir Starmer needs to shed a few pounds and that would be an improvement,” the Labour peer added.
