Meghan Markle’s fellow Suits actor has confessed that the Duchess’ dreams of returning to acting “bothers” him.
Wendell Pierce - who played Meghan’s on-screen dad for seven seasons of Suits - shared fond memories of his the time the pair spent together. The 60-year-old actor also revealed the words of warning he gave to the Duchess of Sussex on the last day they worked with each other.
Meghan, 42, starred as Rachel Zane in the hit TV legal drama from 2011-2018. After getting engaged to Prince Harry in 2017, she gave up acting to become a full-time member of the Royal Family. But ever since the Sussexes stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, the Duchess has been desperate to return to Hollywood.

He said: “The one thing that bothers me the most right now for Meghan is the fact that I know she would love to act again.”

Wendell went on to describe Meghan as a “wonderful” friend and actress, adding: “She’s the nicest person ever.” The star also disclosed the words of warning he gave the Duchess on their very last night working together.

The Wire actor also told Meghan to remember she will “always have a friend” and he would “always be there” for her. When asked about The Sussex’s decision to step back from The Firm, Wendell said: “The controversy and the life living in the public eye always takes on a life of its own. And it's almost one of those things that sometimes you can't control.”

However, Rachael Harris - who played Sheila Sazs in the legal drama - has put the record straight in an exclusive interview with The Mirror in which she revealed none of the original cast would be appearing in the new show.
Describing a conversation between herself and Suits creator Aaron Korsh, she said: “Of course when I got wind that they were doing a Suits LA I was like, okay, so when am I working? And he was very clear with me that no one from the previous cast is going to be in Suits LA."
