Meghan Markle enjoyed a "perfect" trip with her friends at a ritzy ski resort in Utah this week.

The Duchess of Sussex hit the slopes alongside Pilates Platinum owner Heather Dorak and co-founder of Alliance of Moms Kelly McKee Zajfen at the Powder Mountain ski resort, the largest ski area in North America. The resort has 154 separate trails, two terrain parks, nine lifts and various facilities including shuttles, chairlifts, and walking guides.

Meghan was able to stay under the radar while enjoying her time away with her friends, who later shared images of their trip on their social media profiles. The Duchess was seen smiling in a photo with her two pals while wearing sunglasses and a Moncler beanie.

Dorak shared a post on Instagram, including a group photo featuring Meghan, with the caption: "Wow, what a perfect trip!! My heart is so full. The kids crushed the slopes by day and the adults howled with laughter deep into the night. Truly lucky in love with our wonderful friends!"

McKee Zajfen agreed as she wrote on her Instagram profile: "Beyond grateful for the best of friends! What a trip! Thank you doesn't even begin to express what my heart is feeling after this trip. The love of family time, adventures, and belly laughs made this trip one for the books! Here’s to many more adventures with friends that feel like family and appreciating each day."

The resort is spread across 10,000 acres in the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah and is described on its website as "a place where you can get lost in the experience while finding yourself among friends." Ticket prices for a day on the slopes start at $229 (£180) per person, with additional activities such as the chairlift being charged separately.

Guests who want to stay for a few days can book a room at one of the lodges - including Horizon Cabins, Cascade Townhomes, Moose Hollow Condos or Heartwood - with prices varying depending on the season, availability and number of guests. The upscale cabins offer a cozy aesthetic with breathtaking views and access to state-of-the-art amenities.

There are also plenty of options to eat, with casual bites and beers available at Hidden Lake Lodge, Mexican-style meals served at Hidden Lake Cantina and Lucky Slice Pizza sold to evening skiers at Sundown Lodge. Those who want to enjoy live music after a day on the slopes can head to the Powder Keg in The Timberline Lodge.

The ski resort is big on sustainability as the website explains: "Everything was thoughtfully and sustainably planned to ensure Powder Mountain remains unspoiled for future generations." It adds: "With a reduced number of day passes and the most skiable acreage in the US, Powder Mountain gives you the space to be yourself while you experience the pure thrill and limitless adventure of Utah's majestic Wasatch Mountains."
