Olly Alexander has released his much anticipated entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The singer-songwriter, 33, will be representing the UK at the annual international song contest later this year when it's hosted by Sweden. His entry, Dizzy, was released on Friday morning alongside an accompanying music video.
The track was written by Olly - who fronted Years and Years - and producer Danny L Harle. The latter has worked with artists like Dua Lipa previously, with him credited as a songwriter on her latest songs Houdini and Training Season.
Dizzy is now available on streaming platforms and the music video, directed by Colin Solal Cardo, has also been released. Listeners have shared their thoughts about the song on social media platforms like X, formerly known as Twitter.

Another said: "My ears are blessed, thank you [Olly]." Whilst a third fan wrote about it: "Wow, we could actually win #Eurovision! [Olly] is brilliant."

Someone else said: "I'm obsessed!" Another listener wrote: "This is a banger!!" A sixth person wrote: "Absolutely love the song [...] added to my playlist straight away!" Another fan wrote following the song's release: "It's absolutely brilliant!"
"Love every second of it," one person wrote on YouTube. Another said: "Such a brilliant song, I've had it on repeat all night!! We could have a chance at Eurovision with this." Someone wrote: "Great job Olly! Already stuck in my head!"
Although a number of fans expressed hope at the prospect of Olly winning the contest in Malmö, some others didn't feel the same. One listener said: "It's pure Olly Alexander and I'm here for it. Not my winner but loving it so far."
Another wrote following its release: "I wanted to be absolutely be blown away by it. Am I? No. Do I really like it? 100% and looking forward to what the staging will bring! Also loving the earworm potential and Pet Shop Boys nuances."

Another listener said: "[Olly] had a nice lil bop with dizzy but I just dont see what they could with the staging and performance as a whole for it to win."
Others remain optimistic about Olly representing the UK at the contest in May though. One person tweeted: "Well done Olly and best of luck with Eurovision, can't wait to see it on the night. Here's hoping this will be our year to win."
Olly has described the decision to compete in Eurovision at this point in his career as "risky," though he has expressed excitement over the opportunity. The artist will discuss his involvement in an interview with Graham Norton that's due to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Friday night.
He's teased: "It is risky, but that's why it's exciting. It's literally a competition, where everyone is there to pull every little detail apart and judge you against all the other performances. They literally rank you. It's totally unique in that aspect, it's not something you would usually face as an artist, but I think that's fun."
And discussing his entry, he said: "The song is about being dizzy, an overwhelming dizziness from how much you love someone. It's funny as I have never had a song with this much anticipation [...] All of the references and all the music that [me and Danny] love is very 80s, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure."
Olly Alexander's Dizzy is out now. Eurovision 2024: Graham Meets Olly will be broadcast on BBC One at 10.40pm on Friday night, with it also due to be available on BBC iPlayer.
