Content creator Sarah Jayne Dunn has addressed apparent speculation that she's pregnant in a post on social media.

The actor, 42 - who is best known for having played Mandy Richardson on Hollyoaks for more than two decades prior to her departure in 2021 - took to Instagram this week. She shared a video message with her followers on the platform.

She told viewers that she had been receiving congratulatory messages after recently sharing a video of herself having an ultrasound at a branch of Pall Mall Medical. However, Sarah told her fans that the scan wasn't related to a pregnancy.

Addressing the situation in a new video, she said: "Just clearing something up really quickly because I realised that I put up... I reposted a video from when I went to Pall Mall Medical, gosh, last year now, and I was having an ultrasound."

The OnlyFans star went on to share that it had been for a different reason than it may have appeared. She commented in the video: "It wasn't a pregnancy ultrasound. It was an ultrasound to check gynaecological things."

Sarah continued in the video shared on Wednesday: "So I wondered why a few people were like 'congratulations!'. Not pregnant, just to clarify. Thank you for your messages [but] I am not pregnant. I was just reposting their thing."

She concluded by discussing her experience at the private healthcare clinic, which has sites in locations such as Manchester and Liverpool. Sarah told her followers in the post that she had a "full health check" during her visit.

The British Soap Award winner commented: "Pall Mall are amazing. I had a full health check and it included a smear and an ultrasound to look at my womb, but not to check for babies." She concluded her post by saying: "Okay, thanks!"

Sarah's update comes after the former soap star's appearance on an episode of the OnlyFans TV (OFTV) series In Real Life. The show, which is hosted by Casey Boonstra, showcases various content creators from the subscription service.

Sarah featured on a recent episode of the show and it was teased on Instagram by the brand: "From acting to podcasting, pole dancing to ice skating... [Sarah] balances it all. Find out how on an all-new #InRealLife. Tune in on OFTV."

A synopsis for the series states: "Welcome to In Real Life: OFTV's original interview show! Ride along with host Casey Boonstra as she takes some of the top OF creators on action-packed adventures while getting to know them on a personal level, with lots of laughs and fun along the way."
