After fixing the Super Credits bug and and difficulty unlocking issues yesterday, an official Helldivers 2 patch has gone live today that addresses stability and more known issues players were running into in-game.
After an incredibly successful launch, Helldivers 2 is where its at right now; in a nutshell, it's the Starship Troopers game we deserve and although I've only run a few operations so far, I've been loving every minute. There are things that aren't so loveable about the game though – like missing Super Credits – but the backend issue causing that hiccup was ironed out yesterday for players on PC and PS5, although it was mostly affecting the latter.
Hot on the heels of that fix is Helldivers 2 patch 1.000.13 which addresses that bugbear, as well as improving PS5 login speed and error messages. The PS5 login bug was resolved last week, and was caused by the update that kicks AFK players – and if you've been remiss in logging out, you may have found that post-AFK kick your equipment has been going missing, or you've been getting infinite Strategems. Which is a glitch that you were probably enjoying, like this Helldiver on Reddit, but the fun ends today. That pesky purple question mark hovering over their body is another bug that's been blasted in today's Helldivers 2 patch.
While the difficulty unlocking isn't reeled off in the Helldivers 2 patch notes, over on the official Discord, Arrowhead's social media and community manager, Katherine Baskin, posted in the announcements channel last night, saying, "We have fixed the difficulty unlocking for a large portion of affected users, though perhaps some edge cases still remain."
So it has been remedied despite not being listed in Helldivers 2 patch 1.000.13. The patch notes are over on Steam as well as on the game's Discord channel, but we've got them for you in full below.
Why Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's six week delay is a good thingThese are issues that were either introduced by this patch and are being worked on, or are from a previous version and have not yet been fixed.
Arrowhead has been pretty good at acknowledging bugs when they've reared their heads and rolling out updates to quash them. You can join the game's Discord for more frequent comms on Helldivers 2 patches and updates, but of course, we'll keep you posted right here as well.
