Married At First Sight UK viewers complained minutes into Monday's explosive Reunion Special 2024.
During the special episode, the contestants from 2023 reunited with explosive results. However, viewers were left distracted during the scenes over an "awkward" show trend. The reunion was filmed weeks in advance in November, which meant that many moments on the show were out-of-date now, leaving viewers very confused.
During the episode, Georges Berthonneau and Peggy Lawrence put on a loved-up display, sharing details of their romance with their fellow contestants. However, viewers were left baffled over the scenes as Georges and Peggy split earlier this month.

However, viewers already knew the duo were an item as they announced their relationship way back in November and have posted several updates on social media since.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers argued that the reunion needed to have aired earlier as some of the information was now dated. One person said: "This #MAFSUK reunion’s come at a weird time cause we all know Shona is with Matt so that wasn’t the twist they wanted it to be, and Peggy was still with George when this filmed but they’ve split now #MAFS" while a different account put: "When was this filmed?..cause this is a lil awkward #MAFSUK #MAFSreunion."

Elsewhere, one show watcher wrote: "How long ago was this filmed? It doesn’t seem current… #MAFSUK", another put: "Well this is so out of date. Peggy and Georges split up a few weeks ago. This should have been broadcast months ago. It was filmed during the airing of the show. #MAFSUK" while another added: "#mafsuk honestly this reunion should’ve been aired months ago, I don’t know why they’ve waited until tonight."

It read: "I'm so sorry I've been quiet on socials everybody but there's a reason for my silence. Me and Georges are no longer together and I'm absolutely heartbroken. It's affected my mental health and it's taken me weeks to come to terms with it but with it being Valentine's Day, I can't pretend to be OK. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and our journey... Nobody is more upset about it than me x."
Not long after she shared her statement, Georges took to his page to share his shock over her announcement. He wrote on his Stories: "Wasn't expecting a statement from Peggy regarding this situation. I'm heartbroken by our breakup and also trying to come to terms with life without Peggy. I appreciate a lot of you have questions but I won't be talking about this situation as of yet. Also thank you for the messages of support."
