Two Lottery players in Europe shared a massive £30 million jackpot when they both beat odds of one in 140 million to guess the seven lucky numbers.

One of the winners, in Germany, was astonished when they found they were winners and started planning how to spend the vast fortune. However, they later found they were half as lucky as they had thought as someone else, in Sweden, had also guessed all five numbers and the two bonuses in the Helsinki draw ran by Toto-Lotto GmbH Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Instead, both the winners took home just over £15 million. Toto-Lotto GmbH Baden-Wuerttemberg said in a statement: “Double-digit million luck for a player or player from Waiblingen. In the Eurojackpot draw on Friday, 23rd February, she or he predicted the five winning numbers and the two euro numbers correctly and thus cracked the jackpot."

"The lucky person from the Rems-Murr-Keis can now enjoy almost 15.5 million euros. The probability of them winning was one in around 140 million."

Earlier this month the father of a winner r evealed the first eight words his daughter said to him after she bagged the £61 million jackpot. Debbie and Richard Nuttall, from Colne, Lancashire, were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary in Fuerteventura when they scooped the £61,708,231 prize on January 30.

The couple, who are both 54, managed to contain their excitement and wait until they got home to tell their family face-to-face. They decided to take their loved ones out for a as part of their big reveal once they further confirmed the win back home. Debbie’s dad, John, said he had no idea about the fortune until they got back from . He told The Mirror: “She said, ‘You might want to sit down for this’. I was dumbfounded but it couldn’t happen to a nicer couple.”

Richard, who is an accountant, and Debbie, who works for a civil engineering firm, have treated themselves to a new BMW X5. The pair also plan to use the fortune to help them go into early retirement. They further shared that they can picture their life overseas and said they would like to purchase a second home in sunny Portugal so they can spend more quality time with their two daughters and three granddaughters.
