B&Q shoppers hail £35 heater that costs 6p to run and heats a room instantly

Shoppers are rushing to DIY and home improvement store B&Q to get their hands on an £34.99 heater that costs 6p a hour to run. Amazon has already impressed customers with the same heater, which costs £35 on its website.

The SupaWarm Deluxe Halogen Heater has racked up several five-star reviews online from shoppers who say it gives immediate warmth.

Britain is currently facing a cold snap, with snow expected to fall in parts of the country, but the cost-of-living crisis means many people will be searching for affordable ways to beat the chill.

Costing as little as 6p per hour to run, the SupaWarm Deluxe Halogen Heater is ideal for warming up homes without central heating - and it's under £40. It offers three different heat functions to choose from.

The bargain halogen heater rotates up to 75 degrees, allowing heat to spread evenly across the room.

"Just 5 mins gives a nice boost to body heat that lasts very well if you layer your clothes on a very cold day. Very portable. My husband uses it sometimes in his home office if he feels chilly. Taller than most models and replaceable bulbs available."

A third person added: "It is small and compact, as I live in an apartment it is the perfect size. I have only used one bar as yet, and that took the chill off the room, nice modern looking too, and does not take up too much room."
